Took the Plunge!!

Eep!

Never thought that I'd be the type to openly express myself through blogging. But here goes! Mainly it's to document and share my journey with holistically managing my recent diagnosis with polycystic ovaries. It was absolutely frightening witnessing that ultrasound and seeing my poor ovaries looking like a bunch of grapes. Twas not a welcomed sight at all...

But I REFUSE to go down the road of synthetic hormones!! What better way than how nature intended right? Here's the plan of action:

STEP 1: Get rid of meat. Well that was easy... I don't eat meat hahaha

STEP 2: Ditch the sugar, caffeine, dairy, wheat, soy etc. Okay this one is gonna be tough. I regularly take milk chocolate and coffee via IV.

STEP 3: Purge the bathroom cabinet of anything remotely hormone altering. Goodbye deodorant... it's been real. I do feel sorry for my running group unless this is rectified STAT.

STEP 4: Find some herbage. From what I'm gathering, chaste berries and raspberry leaves are supposed to be pretty darn good for female regulation.

STEP 5: Surround myself with good vibes. Easier said than done right? Life certainly gets interesting when your hormones are constantly fluctuating and there's little that can be done in the earlier stages except breathe, accept the moment and let it pass.

STEP 6: Enjoy the journey and believe that this will get easier. Hey that's life right?

Anyhoo, that's my brief lil ramble. Until next post.

Toodles!! :)
